Remixes
Right, so you have vocals recorded but you need a good beat at a professional standard. You will find that having the vocals already completed can save you some good time in the production process, however, it does depend in exactly what format the vocals have been recorded in as to how simple it will be to produce a track around them. A final mixed acapella of vocals from a song that runs at a consistent tempo takes less time to work with than separate vocal tracks from a live event which alters the cost of the service provided for you.
What do I need from you?Typically a client will usually send me an MP3 or WAV file of the vocals of the song (an acapella mix, Ideally this will be standard and have no effects on it, but it is not a major problem at all if it does) and any important musical parts if available.
How will I know what you want it to sound like? What I find very useful to have to hand before I start your remix project are the titles of 2 or 3 current mixes that the client likes the general feel and vibe of, this gives me a broad knowledge on how you would like your mix to sound when finished.
Typical project cost £150 - £300 CD/DVD by post Email me for my address.
Sending me your songs and files.
MP3 by Email is the easiest way to send an mp3 file is simply to email it to [email protected] If you don't have it as an mp3 then import the CD into iTunes and then drag the song file to your desktop and email it to me, easy.
WAV or AIFF by WAV or AIFF files are too large to send by email, so I recommend using the yousendit.com service, it's totally free and quick and easy to use. Just log on, enter my email address, your email address and add the file from your computer and within 10-30 minutes I will have the file.
Mixing your track to industry standards.
The cost of mixing your track down very much depends on what you are supplying me (in terms of files) and exactly what you are looking for me to achieve in the mix. If you have recorded your track in your home set-up or at another studio and you know the result is not what it could be then fear not. I can help you bring out the full potential in your track.
Typical project cost £150 - £200
